- I’m Aaron, the person behind DroneScout.
- I’ve been flying remote controlled aircraft since 2008, and I’m CAA trained and qualified, fully insured, and hold my A2 Certificate of Competency alongside an Article 16 operational authorisation — which lets me fly closer to people and property than a standard licence allows. Useful on tighter sites, property inspections, or anywhere space is limited.
- Photography’s been a serious hobby of mine for decades, long before drones were part of it. Years ago I was manually stitching multiple photographs of Rottnest Island, near Perth, into single panoramic images — some of which ended up on display in the Rottnest Hotel. It’s not a coincidence that stitching hundreds of aerial photos into one map is exactly what I do now, just with better tools.
- On the technical side, I’ve worked in IT support since 2000, across a range of FTSE 50 companies, and I’m currently studying cyber security. That background is why the data you get isn’t just a nice-looking image — it’s processed properly, delivered securely, and in a format that actually works with whatever software your team uses.
- I’m based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and cover the surrounding area — Aylesbury, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Oxford and the wider Thames Valley. You’ll always deal with me directly — no call centre, no subcontractors.
